The Ambassador attended the reception marking Montenegro's Statehood Day

On July 9, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian attended the state reception organized in Cetinje, the old capital of Montenegro, to mark Montenegro's Statehood Day. The Ambassador held brief conversations with the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović; Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, who was present at the ceremony as a guest of honor, as well as other Montenegrin political and public figures, Ambassadors.

On July 10, the Ambassador held a series of working meetings in Podgorica. The invitation to participate in COP17 and the relevant materials were presented to Damjan Ćulafić, Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of Northern Regions, and the format of the country's participation was discussed. The agenda of the meetings with Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanović and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Periša Kastratović included issues regarding the development of bilateral relations, the organization of high-level visits, bilateral agreements, and the holding of political consultations between the foreign ministries.
