A Wreath-Laying and commemorative ceremony took place at the Armenian Khachkar in Prague on the occasion of the 111th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

On April 24, on the occasion of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a wreath-laying ceremony took place near the Armenian khachkar (cross-stone) in Prague in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
The event was attended by the Ambassadors of Argentina, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, and the Netherlands, Deputy Heads of Missions of Austria, France, Holy See and Serbia, as well as representatives of the Czech public and political life, journalists and the numerous members of the Armenian community.
On the same day, a commemoration ceremony for the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide took place at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Prague, led by Archimandrite Barsegh Pilavchyan, the spiritual pastor of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Czechia. During the event, the Ambassador of Armenia Ashot Hovakimian addressed the attendees with a message dedicated to the significance of the day. He emphasized that while paying tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Medz Yeghern, the Republic of Armenia is building its sovereign future through the agenda of peace.
The ceremony was followed by a commemorative event organized by the students of the Prague Mashtots Armenian Saturday School, dedicated to honoring the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
