On October 1 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian met in Belgrade with Minister of European Integration of Serbia Nemanja Starović, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nevena Jovanović.

On October 1, within the framework of the working visit to Serbia, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian met in Belgrade with Minister of European Integration of Serbia Nemanja Starović, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nevena Jovanović.
Ambassador Hovakimian presented the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, highlighting in particular the significance of the established peace for the stable development of the region, the unblocking of communications, as well as the opportunities opening up in the region through the implementation of the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative and its key component, the TRIPP project.
During the meeting with Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović, the parties discussed cooperation between Armenia and Serbia on issues of mutual interest related to the deepening of relations with the European Union. Ambassador Hovakimian presented the “Law on the Launch of Armenia’s EU Accession Process,” which reflects the European aspirations of the Armenian people, as well as the ongoing efforts to align national legislation and standards with those of the EU in the areas covered by the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the legal basis of Armenia–EU relations.
With Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stanković, the cooperation between Armenia and Serbia in the field of education and opportunities for its expansion, in particular, the student exchanges, as well as steps aimed at promoting Armenian studies and the Armenian language in Serbia were discussed. The sides expressed their readiness to continue and further deepen the cooperation.
At the meeting with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nevena Jovanović, the sides discussed the current state of Armenia–Serbia bilateral relations and their prospects for development, emphasizing the importance of deepening political dialogue and expanding cooperation across various fields.
Hayk Khemchyan, Head of the Belgrade Office of the Armenian Embassy in Prague, participated in the meetings.
