Events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Sergey Parajanov took place within the framework of the 30th Belgrade Film Festival of Auteur Films

On November 23, events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Sergey Parajanov took place within the framework of the 30th Belgrade Film Festival of Auteur Films, which were attended by Members of the Serbian Parliament, Ambassadors, intellectuals, artists and representatives of the Armenian community of Serbia.

At the ceremonial opening of "Ashik Kerib: Lost Backstage" photo exhibition presented by Golden Apricot Festival and Rambalkoshe, the welcome speeches were made by the Chairman of the Film Festival Board Igor Stanković and Armenian Ambassador to Serbia Ashot Hovakimian, at the invitation of which the Ambassador of Ukraine to Serbia Volodymyr Tolkach and the Head of the Belgrade Office of the Georgian Embassy in Athens, Barbara Makharadze also made welcome remarks. The coordinator of the photography exhibition, Vahan Stepanyan, presented the photo series by Yelena Karusaar, which were suddenly discovered, and which provide insights into Sergei Parajanov's last film.

The opening of the exhibition was followed by the Serbian premiere of the film "I will revenge this world with love - S. Parajanov" by the talented film director Zara Jian, which wonderfully presented the creative legacy of the famous Armenian director. After the film, Zara Jian's conversation with the audience took place.

The events took place under the patronage of the Ambassador of Armenia to Serbia, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Sergey Parajanov and the 30th Anniversary of the establishment diplomatic relations between Armenia and Serbia, and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
