The annual Ministerial conference of the International Alliance for Freedom of Religion and Belief was held in Prague

On November 28-30, the annual Ministerial conference of the International Alliance for Freedom of Religion and Belief was held in Prague, organized by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Alliance Secretariat. Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian representative in the Alliance, Marta Ayvazyan participated in the conference.

Within the framework of the conference, Ambassador Hovakimian made a national speech, emphasizing the importance of protecting the fundamental right to freedom of religion in the light of the challenges caused by the events taking place in different parts of the world, as well as the protection of places of religious worship and other religious heritage during conflicts, including the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage in Nagorno Karabakh. After subjecting the Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh to ethnic cleansing, Azerbaijan is subjecting it to cultural and civilizational cleansing.

The Armenian delegation had meetings with Fiona Bruce, the member of the British Parliament, the British Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion and Belief, and the Chair of IRFBA, Ambassador Sam Brownback, the former US Senator and Co-Chair of IRF Summit, Lord David Alton of Liverpool, and many other participants.

Receptions for the seminar participants were organized by the British and US Ambassadors to Czechia.
