Armenian evening at the Belgrade City Library dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the first publication of the fundamental works of the Serbian literature in the Printing House of the Armenian Mekhitarist Congregation in Vienna

On December 13, at the Belgrade City Library, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Serbia and the Publishing House "Vesna Pešić and Sons" organized an Armenian evening dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the first publication of the fundamental works of the Serbian literature ("The New Testament" by Vuk Stefanović Karadžić, "The Mountain Wreath" by Petar II Petrović Njegoš, "Poems" by Branko Radičević) in the Printing House of the Armenian Mekhitarist Congregation in Vienna in 1847. During the event, which was attended by hundreds of listeners, the current state of Armenian-Serbian cultural and public relations was discussed. Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian, Prof. Dr. Boško Suvajdžić, publisher and writer Vesna Pešić, actresses Danina Mogel and Nađa Kostic participated in the program.

During the evening, the presentation of the book "Call Me Garun" (Zovi me Garun) by Vesna Pešić and its Armenian translation took place, the photos of the young photographer Bojana Žuža "Armenia: Heaven on Earth" were shown.
