On April 26 on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Archbishop of Prague, Cardinal Dominik Duka, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian visited the longtime friend of the Armenian people. The Ambassador expressed warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Cardinal on his birthday, once again conveyed the deep gratitude for always standing by the Armenian people, supporting the fundamental human rights and the right to self –determination of the Artsakh Armenians and the principles of humanity in general. The interlocutors touched upon the obstacles to the return of the Armenian prisoners of war and the protection of endangered Armenian historical-cultural heritage, the humanitarian access to Artsakh, as well as the Turkish-Azerbaijani armenophobic policy. The Cardinal expressed his satisfaction over the US President's recognition of the Armenian Genocide, expressing hope that other countries and political circles would follow this example.
