Working visit of the Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian to Slovenia

On July 6-7, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian visited Slovenia. Ambassador was received by the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Ljubljana Stanislav Zore, who expressed his solidarity and support towards Armenia and Armenian people, passing his wishes and prayers to overcome challenges and threats and to achieve progress and development.

Ambassador was also received by the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Igor Zorčič. The prospects of the cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries, establishment of the Slovenia-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group in the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, development of the economic relations, the issues of the fight against COVID-19 in the both countries were discussed during the meeting. At the National Assembly A.Hovakimian paid a visit to Monika Gregorčič, the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Policy.

In the framework of his visit to Ljubljana Ambassador met the Adviser to the President of the Republic of Slovenia on Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Smiljana Knez, the Political Director and the Director General of the Directorate for Common Foreign and Security Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Ambassador Jernej Müller, Directors of some Departments of the Foreign Ministry, paid courtesy visits to the Ambassadors, resident in Slovenia.
