Meeting of the Ambassador with the Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic

On 17 June, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received by the Minister of the Environment of the Czech Republic Igor Červený.

During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed the Minister on the substantive agenda, as well as the organizational and logistical preparations for the 17th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), scheduled to take place in Yerevan this October.

The two sides also exchanged views on opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of environmental protection and related areas.

On this occasion, the Ambassador conveyed a formal invitation from the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia to his Czech counterpart to attend the ministerial segment of COP17.
