On 26 May, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received by Ivan Bednárik, Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic.
The Ambassador briefed his counterpart on the security situation in the region surrounding Armenia, ongoing efforts aimed at normalizing relations with Azerbaijan, and initiatives to unblock regional transport links, including the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative and progress in the implementation of the “TRIPP” program, one of its key components.
The Ambassador also emphasized that the new opportunities emerging in the region, particularly in the transport sector, could be of considerable interest to Czech investors and companies. The parties additionally exchanged views on possible Czech participation in the modernization of Armenia’s infrastructure.
