On February 1, at the invitation of the Mayor of Novi Sad, Žarko Mićin, Ambassador Hovakimian attended the ceremonial events marking the City Day. During the talks with the Mayor and municipality employees, issues such as establishing a partnership between Novi Sad and Gyumri and preserving the Armenian cultural heritage of Novi Sad were discussed.
Within the framework of these events, the Ambassador had a meeting with Serbia’s Minister of Environmental Protection, Sara Pavkov, during which issues related to Serbia's participation in the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 17), to be held in Armenia, were discussed.
