On January 29–30, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Hovakimyan paid a working visit to Belgrade

On January 29, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held a meeting with Danilo Jerinić, Director of the “Expo 2027” World Exhibition to be held in Belgrade, to discuss issues related to Armenia’s participation in the exhibition. On the same day, Ambassador Hovakimian attended the ceremonial naming of the exhibition’s mascots, during which he had a brief conversation with Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Siniša Mali.
On January 29, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian also met with Aleksandar Čotrić, Chair of the Serbia–Armenia Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Serbia, as well as members of the group: Vice President of the National Assembly Jovan Janjić and MPs Jadranka Jovanović, Olivera Denić, and Ivan Karić. Ambassador Hovakimian briefed the parliamentarians on the agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8, 2025, in Washington. Reference was also made to the Government of Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative and its key component, the “TRIPP Corridor” program, emphasizing the importance of their implementation in the context of regional connectivity.
On January 30, Ambassador Hovakimian met with Tatjana Jović, Adviser to the President of Serbia, during which issues related to the European Political Community Summit to be held in Yerevan were discussed.
On the same day, Ambassador Hovakimian was received by Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Adrijana Mesarović. During the meeting, the parties discussed trade and economic relations between Armenia and Serbia, as well as steps aimed at further enhancing them.
Also on the same day, Ambassador Hovakimian met with Miloš Todorović, Assistant Minister for the European Union, and Miloš Jančić, Assistant Minister for Security Policy of the MFA of Serbia. Ambassador presented the programs being implemented to promote regional connectivity and infrastructure development under the conditions of peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the current stage of Armenia–EU cooperation.
That evening, Ambassador Hovakimian, together with Serbia’s Minister for Gender Equality, Prevention of Violence against Women, and Economic and Political Empowerment of Women, Tatjana Macura, attended a concert in Belgrade by the world-renowned pianist Eva Gevorgyan, accompanied by the Serbian Philharmonic Orchestra.
