On December 11, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Hovakimian with spouse attended the Annual Diplomatic Corps Dinner hosted by the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović for the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to Montenegro

On December 11, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Hovakimian with spouse attended the Annual Diplomatic Corps Dinner hosted by the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, at the Government House in the Old Capital of Montenegro, Cetinje, for the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to Montenegro. A brief conversation took place between the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia and the President Jakov Milatović.
During his visit to Montenegro, the Ambassador met with Fikret Lulanaj, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, and Marko Vukašinović, Director General of the Directorate General for International Cooperation, European Integration and EU Funds, to discuss bilateral cooperation in the field of innovation, creative technologies, and startups.
At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hovakimian met with the Director General of the General Directorate for Bilateral Relations, Marija Stjepčević, and the Director of Diplomatic Protocol, Ambassador Marija Đerković Petrović.
The Ambassador was received at the Parliament of Montenegro by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Chair of the Montenegro-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group Zdenka Popović, and members of the group Vladimir Bakrač and Branka Marković. The prospects for mutual visits between the Friendship Groups were discussed.
Recent regional developments were touched upon, highlighting the economic opportunities that may arise from the unblocking of transport and communication infrastructures in the context of the peace established in the South Caucasus. In this vein, Ashot Hovakimian presented to his counterparts the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative of the Government of Armenia and its key component - the “TRIPP” project.
