On October 30, a reception dedicated to the 34th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was held at the Hilton Belgrade Hotel

On October 30, a reception dedicated to the 34th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia was held at the Hilton Belgrade Hotel. During the event, the InFocus Armenia supplement of Diplomacy & Commerce magazine, dedicated to Armenia, was officially presented.
Among the attendees were Serbia’s Minister for Gender Equality, Prevention of Violence Against Women, and Economic and Political Empowerment of Women, Tatjana Macura; State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Damjan Jović; State Secretary Zoran Antić and Assistant Minister Danijel Igrec, at the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs; numerous heads of diplomatic missions and diplomats accredited to Serbia; members of the National Assembly; representatives of academic, cultural, and public circles; as well as members of the Serbian Armenian community.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Serbia Ashot Hovakimian, Minister Tatjana Macura, and the founder of Diplomacy & Commerce magazine Robert Čoban.
In his speech, Ambassador Hovakimian touched upon Armenia’s foreign policy priorities, issues on the national security agenda, and the prospects for the development of Armenian–Serbian relations. Referring to the declaration signed on August 8 in Washington by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the United States, the Ambassador emphasized its significance for establishing peace in the South Caucasus region.
