Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Serbia Ashot Hovakimian, and the Brigadier General Milan Elenkov of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence, laid a wreath at the Armenian khachkar in Zemun

On December 12, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Serbia Ashot Hovakimian, and the Brigadier General Milan Elenkov of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence, laid a wreath at the Armenian khachkar in Zemun during a solemn ceremony with the participation of the Honor Guard of the Air Defence Forces.

The khachkar is dedicated to the memory of Serbian pilots Vladimir Erčić, Predrag Marinković, Milenko Simić, Milan Mićić, Boriša Mosurović, Milisav Petrović, and Jovan Zisov, who perished while delivering humanitarian aid to Armenia during the Spitak earthquake of 1988.

The ceremony was attended by the relatives of the pilots, representatives of the Armenian community in Serbia, and friends of Armenia.
