Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was on a working visit to the Liberec region of the Czech Republic

On November 15, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was on a working visit to the Liberec region of the Czech Republic and had a meeting with the Governor of the region Martin Půta. The Governor presented the profile of the region, emphasizing the readiness to promote interregional cooperation, especially in the fields of education, research and innovation. The Ambassador presented the Armenian-Czech bilateral agenda and Armenia’s vision for achieving stable peace in the South Caucasus, ideas were exchanged on regional security and stability.

On the same day, the Ambassador visited Technical University of Liberec and toured the University accompanied by the Vice-rector, Petr Lenfeld, and got acquainted with the University's research and innovation opportunities. During the meeting with the Rector of the University, Miroslav Brzezina, the possible ways of cooperation with Armenian universities were discussed. The Ambassador introduced the interlocutor to the TUMO creative center concept and the idea of establishing a branch in the Czech Republic.
