The premiere of the documentary "Ani Forever: History of the Forgotten City of Medieval Armenia" was held at the Museum of Applied Arts in Brno. The film tells the story of Ani, the capital of the medieval Kingdom of Armenia

On December 20, the premiere of the documentary "Ani Forever: History of the Forgotten City of Medieval Armenia" was held at the Museum of Applied Arts in Brno. The film tells the story of Ani, the capital of the medieval Kingdom of Armenia, which was the commercial and political crossroad where different cultures, religions and arts merged.

The film was created within the framework of the cooperation program between the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University in Brno and the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Czech Republic, with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. The premiere was the final event of the program for 2023, and again attracted the attention of a broad range of Czech audience.

Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian made a closing speech at the event. Emphasizing the importance of the projects implemented for the popularization of Armenian cultural heritage and the spread of Armenian art and culture in the Czech Republic, the Ambassador thanked for cooperation Ivan Foletti, Head of the Center for Early Medieval Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University.

On the same day, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of the Masaryk University in Brno Irena Radová, signed Agreement on implementation by the Cabinet of Armenian Art and Culture of the project for 2024.
