Regarding the text of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Belgrade, "Azerbaijanis also liberated Belgrade", which was published in the newspaper Danas on October 24

In its review, the Embassy of Azerbaijan once again listed a series of insults, falsifications, and plain anti-Armenian propaganda. We have already responded to the previous Ambassador several times in your paper. Instead of wasting the reader's time and nerves, let's just provide links to some of our answers.

- The worst kind of anti-Armenian propaganda (November 28, 2019)

- Will Azerbaijan return Serbian weapons? (August 12, 2020)

- The truth about the pogroms in Sumgait, the "Tragedy of Khojaly" and Azerbaijan's anti-Armenian policy (March 22, 2021)

- Embassy of Armenia: Accusations against the ambassador of Armenia are unfounded (May 7, 2021)

It seems that every new Ambassador of Azerbaijan has the task of wearing himself out on the Armenian people during his mandate.

As far as we understand from the text of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, Serbs must support Azerbaijan, because Soviet soldiers of Azerbaijani origin participated in the liberation of Belgrade. If the memory of the liberators of Europe from fascism is so important to the Embassy of Azerbaijan, it would not be bad to inform the Serbian reader what the Azerbaijani authorities and mobs did in 1988 with the monuments and museums of two Marshals of the Soviet Union - Ovanes (Ivan) Bagramyan and Amazasp Babajanyan in their native village of Chardahlu. By the way, the Armenian population of this village, where another 12 generals and seven heroes of the Soviet Union were born, was completely deported that same year. What did they do with the bust of the double Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot Nelson Stepanyan, in the conquered Shusha, Nagorno-Karabakh, where the hero was born? They destroyed, dishonored, the same way they do with Armenian churches and monuments. To erase every trace of the existence of Armenians in those areas.

Hundreds of Armenians made a great contribution to the liberation of the people of the former Yugoslavia and Belgrade from the fascist invaders, a few were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Hero of the Soviet Union, First Lieutenant Aram Safaryan, was buried at Avala monument.

Therefore, the participation of Azerbaijanis in the operations of the Red Army in the liberation of Belgrade is by no means a justification and indulgence for the months-long blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the forced emigration and ethnic cleansing of more than 100,000 Armenians from the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, with the use of cruel means, violence and mutilation.
