Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian participated in the event dedicated to "Armenia Day" in Kralupy nad Vltavou

On September 16, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian participated in the event dedicated to "Armenia Day" in Kralupy nad Vltavou. The Ambassador had a meeting with Libor Lesak, Mayor of Kralupy nad Vltavou; both sides emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the Municipality and Armenians living in the city, in order to raise awareness about Armenia and Armenian culture.

The Ambassador laid flowers on the Armenian Khachkar located in the Husov Park in Kralupy nad Vltavou, met with Armenians living in the city and arriving from different cities of the Czech Republic. The official closing ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the Armenian historical and cultural heritage, landmarks and outstanding figures organized by the Czech artist Jiří Králík, which has been operating in the city for about a month, was held, followed by the concert of the famous Slovakian-Armenian singer Karin Sargsyan and the performance by the "Dvin" dance ensemble led by Dina Hakobyan.

Mayor of Kralupy nad Vltavou Libor Lesák and Senator David Smoljak, many Armenians from Kralupy nad Vltavou and other cities attended the event. It was dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and the Czech Republic and was held under the honorary auspices of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Czech Republic Ashot Hovakimian, the Governor of the Central Bohemia Region Petra Pecková and the Mayor of Kralupy nad Vltavou Libor Lesák.
