Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received by the newly elected Mayor of Prague 6 Jakub Stárek

On January 26, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received by the newly elected Mayor of Prague 6 Jakub Stárek. The Ambassador congratulated the Mayor on his election, expressing confidence that the cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia located in Prague 6 and the new leadership of the Prague 6 Municipal District will be further strengthened. The Ambassador proposed to continue the process of establishing a partnership between Prague 6 and Yerevan's Arabkir community.

The Ambassador briefed the Mayor on the difficult humanitarian situation due to the blockade of the Lachin Corridor, and the details of the violation of humanitarian law by Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of international responses and effective steps.

Before that, on January 23, the Ambassador attended the New Year's reception organized by the mayor Jakub Stárek for the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions.
