Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Serbia Ashot Hovakimian was received by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić

On December 12, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Serbia Ashot Hovakimian was received by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dačić.

Ambassador Hovakimian congratulated Ivica Dačić on his appointment to this position. The development of bilateral relations, as well as the agenda of the high-level visits and the implementation of agreements were discussed.

Ambassador Hovakimian presented the consequences of the Azerbaijani aggression of September 13-14 on the sovereign territory of Armenia, the situation created as a result of the steps taken by Azerbaijan to disrupt the normal functioning of the Lachin Corridor and the dangers arising from it, emphasized that Azerbaijan's maximalist approaches and the use of force or the threat of force are the main factors undermining stability and security in the region.

On the same day Ambassador Hovakimian was received by the Head of the Department for Russia and Eurasia of MFA of Serbia Vladimir Jovičić and the Adviser on the Foreign Policy of the President of Serbia Tatjana Jović.
