Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian participated in the presentation of the Armenian translation of the book "Horrors of the East" by the Czech writer Karel Hansa

On December 10, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian participated in the presentation of the Armenian translation of the book "Horrors of the East" by the Czech writer Karel Hansa, organized at the Charles University in Prague.

In his welcome speech, Ambassador Hovakimian congratulated translator Anna Karapetyan on the great work done and underlined the importance and contribution of the piece to the dissemination of objective information about the Armenian Genocide among the Czech society and the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Czechia.

The Ambassador emphasized that it is remarkable that the presentation is done in the context of the International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of the victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of this Crime. It was stressed that Armenia, as the author of resolutions for the Prevention of Genocide in the United Nations, the initiator and active participant in the promotion of the agenda for the prevention of mass crimes, constantly supports the efforts aimed at the prevention and condemnation of the Crime of Genocide.
