The Brno Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, together with Armenian known Baritone Aksel Daveya, performed the world premiere of the “Hymn-Good Captain”, composed by world-famous Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian

Within the framework of the Mendel Festival held in Brno, on July 22, at the Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, together with Armenian known Baritone Aksel Daveyan performed the world premiere of the “Hymn-Good Captain”, composed especially for the given occasion and place by world-famous Armenian composer Tigran Mansurian as a prelude to prominent Czech composer Leoš Janáček՛s Glagolitic Mass. The performance received the loud applause of the Czech audience.

The concert in the presence of Tigran Mansurian, was held under the honorary auspices of the Ambassador of Armenia to Czechia Ashot Hovakimian.
