On May 1 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian, accompanied by his spouse and the Embassy staff, attended the concert of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and American violinist Stella Chen, held at the Smetana Hall of Prague’s Obecní dům within the Orchestra’s European Tour under the baton of its Chief Conductor Sergey Smbatyan.

The hall was overwhelmed with audience and the performance of the musicians, and especially their interpretation of the works of Aram Khachaturian during the second part of the concert, received the appreciation of the latter. The concert was as well marked with an extensive participation of the Armenian community in the Czech Republic.
