18 May, 2021

On May 18, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Montenegro Ashot Hovakimian was received by the Prime Minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapić. During the warm and friendly conversation, the Prime Minister expressed readiness to give a new impetus to the traditional Armenian-Montenegrin relations, intensifying cooperation especially in the economic, cultural, educational and health spheres, developing tourism, restoring the once vibrant connections between the sister-capital cities of Yerevan and Podgorica (formerly Titograd).

The Ambassador presented in detail the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh, the consequences and the steps taken to address the humanitarian crisis, the urgency of the immediate return of the Armenian prisoners of war and the situation in the border regions of Armenia due to provocative actions carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the sovereign territory of Armenia.
