Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Montenegro Ashot Hovakimian met with the Member of the National Assembly of Montenegro, Head of the Montenegrin Delegation to the PACE Maja Vukićević

On May 18, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Montenegro Ashot Hovakimian met with the Member of the National Assembly of Montenegro, Head of the Montenegrin Delegation to the PACE Maja Vukićević.

During the meeting the necessity of cooperation and exchange of information between the parliamentary delegations of the two countries in PACE was mentioned. The Ambassador presented in detail the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh, the consequences and the steps taken to address the humanitarian crisis, the need to restore the Nagorno Karabakh peace process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.

The Ambassador stressed the urgency of the immediate return of the Armenian prisoners of war and the importance of the discussion on this issue at the recent PACE session. The situation in the border regions of Armenia due to provocative actions carried out by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the sovereign territory of Armenia was also presented.
