Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian met with Prof.Dr. Žarko Obradović, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Aleksandar Čotrić, the Chairman of the Serbia-Armenia Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group

On April 2 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian in Belgrade met with Prof.Dr. Žarko Obradović, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Aleksandar Čotrić, the Chairman of the Serbia-Armenia Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

The parties confirmed the importance of the strengthening the relations between the two countries and discussed the prospects of bilateral parliamentary cooperation, as well in the framework of international parliamentary organisations.

During the meeting Ambassador presented the details and consequences of the aggression by the Azerbaijan and Turkey against Artsakh, the steps that are being undertaken to address the humanitarian crisis and the need to restore the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process in the framework of the Co-Chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group. Ambassador stressed the imperative of the immediate return of the Armenian prisoners of war.

Ambassador had also a short meeting with the deputy of the Parliament Predrag Rajić.
