The meeting of the Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian with the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Aleksa Bečić

On January 21, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received by the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Aleksa Bečić. The parties confirmed the importance to strengthen the relations between the two friendly nations; they discussed in particular the prospects of development of the interparliamentary cooperation. In this sense the agreement to establish the friendship groups in both parliaments was reached.

Ambassador presented the details and consequences of the aggression by the Azerbaijan and Turkey against Artsakh, the steps being undertaken to address the humanitarian crisis and the need to restore the Nagorno Karabakh peace process in the framework of the Co-Chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group.

At the Parliament of Montenegro Ambassador had meetings with the Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Miodrag Lekić and the Chairperson of the Security and Defence Committee Milan Knežević.
