On July 28, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian met with the Member of the European Parliament from the Czech Republic, famous politician and public figure, former Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic Dr.Alexandr Vondra. The Ambassador presented to Mr. Vondra the details of the military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Armenia, targeting the civilian infrastructure and population, the expansionist policy of Turkey and the unconditional support to the aggressive actions of Azerbaijan by the Turkish leadership. The Member of the European Parliament was briefed on the process of democratic reforms ongoing in Armenia, on the priorities and prospects of the relations between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia. Regional and global challenges and the fight against COVID-19 were also discussed.
