Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan Meets with the Executive Director of “Arriva Czech Republic”

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the executive director of “Arriva” company Daniel Adamka. “Arriva” is one of the largest transport operators of Europe. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in the RA Petr Mikyska was present at the meeting too.
Presenting the actions of the city authorities aimed at the reforms in the sphere of public transport of Yerevan, Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that the improvement of public transport system is one of the main tasks of Yerevan Municipality and define steps are being taken in this regard in the recent years.
“To implement the program of reforms of Yerevan public transport we have created a working group which includes international consulting company. As a result of our cooperation concrete program of reforms will be worked out. Our aim is to adapt the successful European experience in Yerevan taking into account the demands of our co-citizens”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the executive director of “Arriva” company Daniel Adamka attached particular importance to Yerevan Mayor’s attitude to public transport reforms and stressed that their company is interested in the program of unified itinerary network of Yerevan.
“Mister Mayor, out company works in 14 countries of Europe. Besides bus production the company is also engaged in working out of new technological approaches to transport means. From this point of view we express our willingness to take part in the program of improvement of Yerevan transport system”, said Daniel Adamka.
Once again stressing the readiness of Yerevan Municipality for cooperation Mayor Taron Margaryan offered to discuss in details the directions of possible cooperation to make it possible to outline the perspectives of interaction.
