Ambassador Hovakimyan’s working visit to the Republic of Serbia

On March 13, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian, at the invitation of the Ambassador of Greece to Serbia, Maria Levanti, presented to the Ambassadors of EU member states, during a working lunch, the regional situation in the context of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the current stage of Armenia–EU cooperation. Reference was made to the Government of Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative and its important component, the “TRIPP Route” program, emphasizing the importance of their implementation in the context of regional connectivity. The lunch was attended by the Ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Romania, and Cyprus in Serbia, as well as the Chargé d’Affaires of the EU Delegation.
On the same day, Ambassador Hovakimian held a meeting with the Director of the National Library of Serbia, Jasmina Ninkov. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the cooperation between the National Library of Serbia and its relevant partner institutions in Armenia.
During his visit to Serbia, Ambassador Hovakimian also met with the Deputy Director of the Secretariat of the Transport Community, Ljuba Siljanoska. The discussion focused on projects aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and infrastructure development, as well as opportunities for cooperation.
In the evening of the same day, Ambassador Hovakimian attended a brilliant concert in Belgrade by the world-renowned violinist Sergey Khachatryan, accompanied by the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.
As part of the visit, Ambassador Hovakimian also attended the official opening ceremony of the Second Preparatory Meeting of International Participants for the Expo 2027, as well as the formal reception and film screening dedicated to Cyprus’ Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
