The first international preparatory meeting for EXPO 2027 took place in Belgrade

On June 11–12, the first international preparatory meeting for EXPO 2027 took place in Belgrade. The event was organized by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) and the Government of Serbia, with the aim of presenting the organizational progress, as well as the infrastructural and technical preparations for the exhibition.

The Republic of Armenia was represented by an official delegation that included Artur Sedrakyan, Head of the Policy Development and Analysis Division of the Sports Policy Department at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and Anna Haroyan, Chief Specialist at the Department of Contemporary Art. Counselor and Head of the Belgrade Office of the Embassy of Armenia in Prague, Hayk Khemchyan, also took part in the meeting as a member of the Armenian delegation.

EXPO 2027 is a specialized world exhibition that will take place in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme “Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All.” The exhibition is expected to welcome over 3 million visitors and host pavilions from more than 120 countries and 10 international organizations.
