Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian paid a working visit to Zagreb

On January 29-31, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian paid a working visit to Zagreb.

At the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Ambassador Hovakimian had meetings with the State Secretary for Political Affairs Frano Matušić, the State Secretary for Europe Andreja Metelko-Zgombić, the Director-General for Economic Affairs and Development Cooperation Irena Alajbeg and the Director of the Department of Eurasia and Oceania Dunja Sičaja.

During the meetings, the prospects of further activation and expansion of bilateral relations, the organization of high-level visits, developments in the South Caucasus and the Western Balkans, and cooperation in international platforms were discussed.

Ambassador Hovakimian presented the security situation in the South Caucasus, the position of the Armenian side regarding the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the “Crossroad of Peace’’ project developed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Ambassador Hovakimian also had a meeting with Director of Civil Protection Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior Damir Trut.
