Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held meetings in Belgrade

On December 18, in Belgrade Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held meetings with Dušan Kozarev, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Miloš Todorović, Assistant Minister for the European Union, and Arnaud Gouillon, Head of the Office for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Government of Serbia.

During the discussions, the sides addressed the current state of bilateral relations between Armenia and Serbia and explored prospects for their development. Ambassador Hovakimian presented the security situation in the South Caucasus, the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the Armenian Government's "Crossroads of Peace" initiative. An agreement was reached with the Assistant Minister for the European Union to hold consultations on issues of European integration.

On the same day, the Ambassador also met with the Chairman of the Serbia-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group Aleksandar Čotrić and the members of the Group. The meeting focused on steps to deepen interparliamentary cooperation and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

The Ambassador visited the Institute for European Studies (Institut za evropske studije – IES), where he met with the Director of the Institute Slobodan Zečević.
