Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received in Belgrade by the Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly Ana Brnabić

On December 17, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was received in Belgrade by the Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly Ana Brnabić.

During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of increasing political dialogue between Armenia and Serbia and organizing mutual visits, further developing inter-parliamentary relations, as well as the cooperation in various fields.

Ambassador Hovakimian touched upon the security situation in the South Caucasus and the latest developments in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He also presented the “Crossroads of Peace" program of the Government of Armenia.

On the same day, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was hosted by the Deputy Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marina Raguš. During this meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of activating Armenian-Serbian parliamentary diplomacy as a key tool for developing and strengthening bilateral relations.
