The solemn ceremonies were held in Belgrade and Novi Sad

On December 12, the solemn ceremonies were held in Belgrade and Novi Sad in memoriam of the Serb pilots Vladimir Erčić, Predrag Marinković, Milenko Simić, Milan Mićić, Boriša Mosurović, Milisav Petrović and Jovan Zisov who perished in the crash of the aircraft, which was delivering assistance to Armenia after the devastating Spitak earthquake of 1988.

On behalf of the Embassy of Armenia to Serbia, the Second Secretary Aram Karamyan paid tribute and laid a wreath at the Armenian khachkar in Zemun, and on the Serbian side - the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence, Lieutenant General Duško Žarković.

The relatives of the pilots and the representatives of the Armenian community of Serbia were present at the ceremony.

Afterwards, A.Karamyan and the representative of the Novi Sad Municipality paid a tribute and laid a wreath in memoriam of the Serb pilots at the Armenian khachkar located in the centre of the Novi Sad, on the ground of the former Armenian Church.
