On May 3 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held a working visit to the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic

On May 3 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held a working visit to the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. The Ambassador started off his visit at the University of Pardubice, where he was received by the Rector of the University Libor Čapek and the University leadership and where he further participated in the “Armenia at the University of Pardubice” event, dedicated to the large-scale cooperation the University has developed with Armenian counterparts.

Ambassador A. Hovakimian was further hosted by the Mayor of Pardubice Martin Charvát and the Governor of the Pardubice Region Martin Netolický. The Ambassador briefed his counterparts on the fruitful collaboration existing between the University of Pardubice and the Academy of Sciences of Armenia and several Armenian universities and followed up on the prospects such cooperation opens for enhancing collaboration in various other fields. The sides further discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of culture, tourism, sports and industrial development and touched upon the possibilities of deploying the good practices of already existing inter-regional cooperation between Armenia and the Czech Republic towards developing cooperation with the Pardubice Region. The parties as well touched upon the overall geopolitical situation in Europe and the South Caucasus Region, the Ambassador briefed his counterparts on the latest developments in the region and current humanitarian and security challenges.
