Within the framework of the commemoration of the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a wreath laying ceremony took place in Belgrade

On April 20, in Belgrade, on the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the wreath laying ceremony in memoriam to the victims of the Armenian Genocide took place at the Armenian Khachkar (cross-stone) in Zemun Park, in front of the Church of Saint Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
The ceremony, which was attended by the representative of the Serbian Foreign Ministry, the Ambassadors of the United States of America and French Republic to Serbia, the Counsellor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, many Armenians from Serbia, Serbian friends of Armenia, was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Serbia and the Armenian Union of Serbia. Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian, President of the Armenian Union of Serbia Samvel Ayvazyan, representatives of Embassies and organizations laid wreaths and flowers on the Khachkar.
The Ambassador Hovakimian addressed those present with a message dedicated to the council of the day.
After the ceremony a meeting took place between the Armenian Ambassador and the members of the Armenian Union of Serbia, where the Ambassador answered the questions of the community members.
