On April 6-10 the Deputy Ministers of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Anna Mazmanyan and Aram Meymaryan held a working visit to the Czech Republic

Within the framework of the Twinning Project “Strengthened protection and sustainable use of biodiversity in Armenia in line with European standards”, implemented jointly by the Ministry of Environment of RA, the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic and the Finnish Institute of Environmental Protection (SYKE) on April 6-10 the Deputy Ministers of Environment of the Republic of Armenia Anna Mazmanyan and Aram Meymaryan held a working visit to the Czech Republic. In the framework of the visit they were received by their counterparts Deputy Ministers of Environment of the Czech Republic Eva Volfová and Tomáš Tesař . Deputy Ministers Anna Mazmanyan and Aram Meymaryan visited the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic, where they had a brainstorming session with the Director of the Agency František Pelc, the Head of the Nature Conservation Division Pavel Pešout, the Director of the Department of External Relations of the Agency Tomáš Růžička and the Director of the Department of Special Nature Conservation David Lacina. In the context of the visit the representatives of the Armenian side held connaissance trips to the Krkonoše National Park and the Český Ráj Protected Landscape Area. Within the framework of their working visit Deputy Ministers Anna Mazmanyan and Aram Meymaryan visited the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Czech Republic, where together with Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian the results of the visit were summed up and the course of and the expectations from the project were discussed, touching upon the possibilities of experience- exchange and further cooperation with the Czech side in the field.
