On November 1-3, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian paid a working visit to Serbia.

On November 2, Ambassador was received by the Minister of Interior of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin. During the meeting the prospects of the development of cooperation between the Armenian and Serbian law enforcement bodies, the joint fight against organized crime and terrorism were discussed.

On the same day the Ambassador was received by the Minister of Economy of Serbia Anđelka Atanasković. They spoke about the need to intensify economic relations between Armenia and Serbia, to study new opportunities, to organize business forums and missions, and to establish a joint intergovernmental commission.

On November 3, Ambassador was received by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Serbia Nebojša Stefanović. The Ambassador presented in detail the information on the consequences of Azerbaijan's aggression against Artsakh with the active participation of Turkey, on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship, on the ongoing hostage-taking of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians in Azerbaijan. The possibilities of expanding the bilateral relations between Armenia and Serbia were discussed.

During the visit, the Ambassador had meetings at the Office of the President of Serbia, with the newly appointed Director of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mirjana Jeremić, former Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkić, and a number of Ambassadors.
