On September 21, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian hosted Michael Žantovský, the acknowledged human rights defender, close associate of the President Václav Havel, diplomat, writer, journalist and translator, adviser on foreign policy of the Czech President. Issues of regional security and stability were discussed; the Ambassador presented the details of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19, and emphasized the urgency of effective and clear steps by international partners to prevent mass atrocities and humanitarian disaster in Nagorno-Karabakh.
