Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian hosted archaeologist Jan Frolík and geophysicist and 3D documentation specialist Jiří Šindelář

On February 25, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian hosted archaeologist Jan Frolík, researcher at the Department of Medieval Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Archaeology and the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pardubice, and geophysicist and 3D documentation specialist Jiří Šindelář, who are in the Czech expeditionary group working on the survey of archaeological sites within the projects “Apostolus” (2016- 2019) and “Hayastan” (2019-2021), jointly implemented within the cooperation between the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and the Czech Academy of Sciences and further with the Faculty of Arts of the Pardubice University. The guests presented the results of the 5-year activity of the expedition mission in Armenia and their future projects. The prospects of further cooperation between the parties and the possibilities of joint initiatives were discussed.
