Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was on a working visit to Slovenia

On June 23-24, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian was on a working visit to Slovenia.

The Ambassador visited DUOL, an innovative company (www.duol.eu), which designs, manufactures and installs air domes, prefabricated wooden and metal frame structures and tents in various locations around the world, using innovative membrane technology. The prospects for the company's cooperation with Armenia were discussed with the company's Vice President, Anžej Olaj.

An agreement was reached with Tamara Zajec Balažič, the Acting director of the SPIRIT SLOVENIA Business Development Agency, to establish cooperation with ENTERPRISE ARMENIA and organize an Armenian-Slovenian business meeting.

During the meeting with the Director of the ITF - Enhancing Human Security, Ambassador Tomaž Lovrenčič, the continuation of effective cooperation and the implementation of the 2025 programs, focused on the psychosocial rehabilitation of war-affected women and children, were reaffirmed.

The Ambassador also met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, Marko Štucin, and the Director of Protocol, Nataša Prah. The Ambassador's traditional meeting with the Chairman of the Slovenia-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group, Dean Premik, and the Vice-Chairman, Dušan Stojanović, took place at the National Assembly of Slovenia.

On June 24, at the invitation of the President, National Assembly and Government of the Republic of Slovenia, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian participated in the state solemn celebration dedicated to the Statehood Day of the Republic of Slovenia. During the event Ambassador had brief talks with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar and Parliament Speaker Urška Klakočar Zupančič.
