Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held meetings with representatives of several think tanks based in Belgrade

On April 22 and 23, Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held meetings with representatives of several think tanks based in Belgrade.

In particular, the Ambassador met with Darko Obradović, Program Director, and Biljana Šahrimanian Obradović, Analyst at the Center for Strategic Analysis, Igor Novaković, Senior Associate at the Center for International and Security Affairs, Andrija Mladenović, Executive Director, and Milena Mihajlović Denić, Program Director at the Center for European Policy, as well as with Igor Bandović, Director of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy.

As part of the visit, the Ambassador visited the University of Belgrade, where he held meetings with Prof. Dr. Vladimir Cvetković, Vice-Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Maja Kovačević, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, and Prof. Dr. Mladen Milošević, Dean of the Faculty of Security Studies.

During the meetings, Ambassador Hovakimian presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project of the Government of Armenia, and addressed the regional challenges, the country is facing. Discussions also focused on potential avenues for cooperation in the fields of education and academic research.

At the invitation of Duško Lopandić, President of the European Movement of Serbia, the Ambassador delivered a lecture on Armenia's foreign policy and the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative to the participants of the organization’s Forum for International Relations operating within the framework of the Movement.

In the course of his visit, at the invitation of the publisher Robert Čoban, the Ambassador took part in the 9th annual awards ceremony organized by Diplomacy and Commerce magazine.
