On November 13, a discussion on "Armenia: the past, present, and future of humanitarian needs" initiated by the Czech humanitarian organization "People in Need" was held. Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian made an opening speech, highly appreciating the organization’s activities in Armenia, then presenting the humanitarian situation created as a result of Azerbaijan's ethnic cleansing policy and the steps and planned projects initiated by the Government of Armenia to address the humanitarian needs of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians. During the question-and-answer session with the attendees, the Ambassador touched upon topics related to regional security, the principles of the "Crossroads of Peace" program, and the process of normalization of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

At the meeting, Shushanik Nersesyan, who is in charge of press and public relations of the Armenian office of the "People in Need" organization, and Michal Zelba, who is in charge of the organization's Armenian programs, made speeches and presented the process of welcoming people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh in Syunik Marz of Armenia and the projects implemented in Armenia. Petr Drbohlav, regional director of the organization for the Eastern Partnership and Balkans, presented the program of the providing basic necessities for people displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, and the intention to ensure its continuity in the near future.
