On May 18 Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Vardanyan took part as a speaker in the virtual conference on "Business Opportunities in Energy and Connectivity: Eastern Partnership and Central Asia", organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic with the support of the Ministry of Transport and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic. The event was opened by the Minister of Industry and Trade and Transport of the Czech Republic Mr. Karel Havlíček. During the two main panels on Transport Connections between East and West and the Cooperation in Energy Industry and Energy Policy, the experts from the countries of the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia introduced the state of affairs in their respective countries and further prospects for cooperation in the fields. Deputy Minister H.Vardanyan introduced to the participants the energy strategy of the Republic of Armenia for the near future. The representatives of the European Commission, participating as keynote speakers, on their part, introduced the currently ongoing projects and the further possibilities for exchange of experience, joint projects and initiatives.
