Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian held meetings with the members of the recently re-established Croatia-Armenia Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group of the Parliament (Sabor) of Croatia and with Marijana Balić, the Head of the Croatian delegation to PACE

On February 25 Ambassador Ashot Hovakimian in Zagreb met with the members of the recently re-established Croatia-Armenia Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group of the Parliament (Sabor) of Croatia, headed by Davor Ivo Stier.

The parties confirmed the importance of the strengthening the relations between the two countries and discussed the prospects of development of the inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Ambassador also met with Marijana Balić, the Head of the Croatian delegation to PACE, and the members of the Delegation.

During the meetings the details and consequences of the aggression by the Azerbaijan and Turkey against Artsakh, the steps that are being undertaken to address the humanitarian crisis and the need to restore the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process in the framework of the Co-Chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group were presented. Ambassador stressed the imperative of the immediate return of the Armenian prisoners of war.
