01.06.2017 • Charity Visit to Orphanage

On June 1 Counsellor of the Embassy of Armenia Mrs. Nouneh Zastoukhova and Czech Armenian Mrs. Narine Gevorkyan-Zavaryan on the occasion of International Children's Day have visited orphanage named after Charlotta Masaryková, spouse of the First President of Czechoslovakia, located at one of the Prague suburbs.

26.04.2017 • Statement of Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

Armenia welcomes the adoption of the resolution by the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic on recognizing and condemning the Armenian Genocide and other crimes against humanity. The resolution adopted by the Chamber of Deputies together with the statements by President Miloš Zeman condemning the Armenian Genocide are the Czech Republic’s valuable contribution to the noble cause of prevention of genocides and crimes against humanity.

26.04.2017 • President of the Republic of Armenia Sent an Appreciation Letter to His Czech Counterpart

President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent an appreciation letter to the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman upon the adoption by the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic of a Resolution condemning the Armenian Genocide. President Sargsyan`s letter reads:

26.04.2017 • Ambassador Tigran Seiranian Comments upon the Adoption of the Resolution on the Armenian Genocide

The adoption of the Resolution on the Armenian Genocide on 25th of April, 2017 by the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic is undoubtedly the result of the long-term and determined work. Till now, there were several attempts to include that issue in the agenda of the Chamber of Deputies - in summer of 2016 and most recent on the 4th of April, 2017. Last time only 11 votes were missing to put the resolution for voting. There were number of serious circumstances impeding that process.

25.11.2016 • The meetings of Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Harutyunyan in Prague

On November 24-25, while paying a working visit to the Czech Republic, Robert Harutyunyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, had meetings with Jan Mladek, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Martin Tlapa, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, and some other high-ranking officials. During the meetings with Minister Mladek and Deputy Minister Tlapa, issues related to the economic diplomacy and development of the Armenian-Czech trade and economic ties were discussed. Robert Harutyunyan and Martin Tlapa, the author of the current concept paper of the economic diplomacy of the Czech Republic, which has registered a significant success, agreed to organize an experience exchange course for the Armenian colleagues.

03.11.2016 • Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan Receives Delegation Led by Speaker of National Council of Republic of Slovakia Andrej Danko

On November 3, the Speaker of the RA National Assembly Galust Sahakyan received the Delegation led by the Speaker of the National Council of the Republic of Slovakia Andrej Danko. Welcoming Andrej Danko, Galust Sahakyan noted that the visit of the Delegation will give new impetus to the development of the inter-state relations and the strengthening of the bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation.

President Serzh Sargsyan received today delegation headed by the President of the National Council of Slovakia Andrej Danko. The President of Armenia welcomed the guests to our country and underscored that Armenia attaches great importance to the interparliamentary relations considering them a significant element of the interstate relations.

11.10.2016 • The Exhibition Dedicated to the Art of the Armenian Book Printing Opened in Prague

The Exhibition entitled The Art of the Armenian Book through the Ages: “They who imbibed the effusions of the Spirit” commenced in famous Klementinum building of Prague (National Library of the Czech Republic) on October 11, 2016. It’s organized by the National Libraries of Armenia and the Czech Republic, as well as the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian Embassy in the Czech Republic and dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia. It takes place also in tandem with the celebration of three hundred and fifty years from the publication of the very first Armenian Bible.

On September 26, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Czech Republic organized a reception at Prague Žofín Palace, dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia.

20.09.2016 • The Armenian Delegation Participated at the Third “Prague Process” Ministerial Conference

On 19-20 September the third Prague Process Ministerial Conference was held in Bratislava under the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU. The Armenian delegation headed by Mr. Tigran Seiranian, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Czech and Slovak republics participated at the Conference. The event was chaired by Mr. Robert Kaliňák, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Slovak Republic.
